NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the qualified electors of Lima Township, County of Washtenaw that a General Election will be held in Lima Township on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The polls will be open from 7:00am to 8:00pm at Lima Township Hall, 11452 Jackson Road, Dexter for the purpose of electing the following offices:
- Electors of President and Vice-President of the United States;
- United States Senator;
- Representative in Congress 6th District;
- Representative in State Legislature 47th District;
- Member of the State Board of Education;
- Regent of the University of Michigan;
- Trustee of Michigan State University;
- Governor of Wayne State University;
- Washtenaw County Offices of Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk & Register of Deeds, Treasurer, Water Resources Commissioner, Commissioner 1st District;
- Lima Township Offices of Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer, Trustees;
- Judicial Positions of Justice of the Supreme Court, Judge of Court of Appeals 3rd District, Judge of Circuit Court 22nd District, Judge of Probate Court, Judge of District Court 14A District;
- Board Member of the Local School District;
- Board Member Washtenaw Community College
and to vote on the following proposals:
- WASHTENAW COUNTY PROPOSAL 1, Renewal and restoration of the Enhanced Emergency Communications System Millage.
- WASHTENAW COUNTY PROPOSAL 2, Renewal and restoration of the Veteran’s Relief Millage.
- WASHTENAW COUNTY PROPOSAL 3, Establishing an Older Persons Services Millage.
- WASHTENAW COUNTY PROPOSAL 4, Renewal and restoration of the Washtenaw County Community Mental Health and Public Safety Preservation Millage.
- WASHTENAW INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPOSAL, Washtenaw Intermediate School District Special Education Millage Renewal Proposal.
Full proposal text and sample ballots can be found at mi.gov/vote or at the Lima Township Offices, 12172 Jackson Road, Dexter. Absentee ballots are available for all elections. Registered voters may obtain an application for an absent voter ballot from the Lima Township Clerk’s office. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities. Voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille if requested of the Clerk in advance of the election.
