NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 5/18/2026: Amended Special Use for Gas Station

APPLICATION #SUP26-002 – A public hearing will be held to consider an application for amended Special Use for an expansion to a retail building on an approved site plan that includes a special land use, as required per Section 3.3.9.A of the Lima Township Zoning Ordinance. The request involves a 2,678 square foot addition onto an existing 2,443 square foot retail store (110% expansion), along with minor parking and landscaping improvements. The site’s automobile service station (gasoline station) is a special land use in the GC – General Commercial zoning district.   This property is located at 5 S. Fletcher Road, Chelsea, Michigan 48118 and is part of SW 1/4 Section 16 T02S-R04E, Lima Township, Parcel G- 07-16-300-021. The parcel is zoned GC – General Commercial District.

The Special Use application will be considered by the Lima Township Planning Commission on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 7:00pm.  Meeting to be held at the Lima Township Hall, 11452 Jackson Rd, Dexter, MI 48130.
