Notice is hereby given that the Lima Township Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing for proposed amendments to the Lima Township Zoning Ordinance in accordance with the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended.
The proposed text amendments are being requested by the Lima Township Planning Commission to enable the Township Board of Trustees to adopt a resolution establishing a temporary moratorium on the consideration of any application for a zoning compliance permit or special land use permit when the Township Board determines that additional time is needed to evaluate and revise its zoning regulations and map due to certain circumstances. The proposed amendments may include amendments to Article 4 (Zoning District Regulations) and Article 14 (Amendments).
The zoning text amendments will be considered by the Lima Township Planning Commission on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Meeting to be held at the Lima Township Hall located at 11452 Jackson Rd, Dexter, MI 48130.
Signed, written comments concerning the text amendment will be accepted until 12:00pm on July 27, 2026. Comments may be addressed to the Lima Township Planning Commission, 12172 Jackson Rd, Dexter, MI 48130. Comments may alternatively be emailed to the Zoning Administrator at msastre@limatownshipmi.gov.
