Lima Township is serviced by the Michigan State Police and the Chelsea Area Fire Authority (CAFA). For non-emergencies, contact Washtenaw County Dispatch and they will dispatch the local State Police.
CAFA has approximately 15,000 residents in their coverage area of nearly 116 square miles. They provide fire, rescue, hazardous materials operations and non-transport basic life support services to the City of Chelsea and the Townships of Lima, Lyndon and Sylvan as well as a portion of Dexter Township.
